Nançay Decameter Array (NDA) Telescope
Description
The Nançay Decameter Array (NDA) is a radio telescope installed at the Nançay Radioastronomy Observatory in Sologne, France. It operates in the frequency range between 10 MHz and 85 MHz, enabling the detection of electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths between 4 m and 30 m. The main scientific objectives of the NDA are to monitor the Jovian and Solar decametric natural radio emissions.
The NDA is a phased array composed of 144 logarithmic helicoidal antennas. it is split into blocs of 72 antennas, sensitive respectively to left-handed and right-handed polarised radio waves.
